About the Special Issue

A Special Issue of American Journal of Education and Information Technology (ISSN Online )

Deadline for manuscript submissions: Mar. 31, 2022

Working from the office has been the norm for decades and for many types of work, this is still necessary. The same is true with education as we study at a campus. Clearly the Internet has changed this perspective over the last 20 years or so and the terms work from home or remote work are commonly used. While frequently the terms are used interchangeably, they are not always the same. The terms work from wherever or education from wherever may be more realistic. Given today's workforce mobility, along with cell phones, laptops, conferencing and office software, VPN, and Internet, one may work or study from, well, wherever: office, home, school, coffee shops, parks, airplanes, trains, buses, ships, and in almost any country. The focus and goal of this special issue is to broaden the view of work and education in the information age and illustrate what is possible and doable in the global community thus benefiting employers, employees, faculty, and students.
